2011 Good Year for Milk Plants in South Bavaria

TopAgrar reports that for the first time the plants processed more than 240 Million kg of milk, in comparison to 2010 where 237 million kg milk was produced.
The number of suppliers also increased in the last year from 1,829 to 1,850 farmers.
However, there are still problems with the running costs of the dairy which is increasing. The expenditure on wages, energy and commodities such as sugar, fruits and milk also rose by six per cent.
