US Dairy Exports Boosted
US - US dairy export volumes improved slightly in February (compared with recent months), boosted by continued strong sales of milk powder and cheese, according to trade data released April 12 by USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service.Total export value was a record high $435 million, up 27 per cent from February 2011. In the December-February period, US exports of dry ingredients (milk powder, whey, lactose), cheese and butterfat were 391,565 tons, up one per cent from the previous year.
