OIE: Armenian Anthrax Outbreak Reported
ARMENIA - An outbreak of Anthrax in the Gegharkounik has been reported to Dr Grisha Baghiyan, First Deputy to the Minister, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture for Armenia.

Two Anthrax outbreaks have been identified in Tsovak, Vardenis in two small cattle herds after laboratory tests proved positive at the Republican Center of Veterinarian Sanitary and Phytosanitary Services .
The mortality rate has been reported as 100 per cent causing six cattle deaths. The source of the outbreak is unknown.
Measures being applied to control the disease are quarantining, movement control inside the country, zoning, vaccination and disinfection of the infected premises.
