TB Monitoring Under New Quality Control Scheme
UK – A quality assurance programme for tuberculosis skin testing is being introduced by veterinary authorities, following a successful trial in Wales.Testing performance will be monitored over a period of seven years by Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency Officials.
Information gathered by official veterinarians will then be used to form a programme that will audit success.
Initially this will only apply to practices in England, although it is expected the Scottish Government will shortly agree to a similar approach in Scotland. The Welsh Government is currently considering its approach.
AHVLA procedures for this audit work are published here.
