Foot and Mouth Disease in Trans Baikal
RUSSIA - A new outbreak of foot and mouth disease has been found in the village of village Kulusutai in the Ononsky District of Trans Baikal.

The new outbreak has affected 2,396 cattle, 210 sheep and 141 pigs.
The original outbreak on 4 September saw 83 cattle infected with the virus and 15 dies.
The village has been placed in quarantine and Rosselkhoznador has established control measures for the outbreak and is conducting further studies of the pathogen.
