The neat NEAT project is an EU focused programme standing for “Networking to enhance the use of economics in animal health education, research and policy making in Europe and beyond”.

A global audience of 80 participants listened to findings on a literature review of  economics in welfare and management and a survey about knowledge gaps, at the Royal Veterinary College coordinated event.

The assembly, which investigated how to alter decision making in Europe and further afield, included discussion workshops on the project’s future steps.

Ambitions are set on producing educational materials, including a textbook available to animal health and production students.
