Europe’s Farmers Welcome New Milk Market Observatory
EU – The European Commission’s Milk Market Observatory has been welcomed as a ‘step in the right direction’ by Europe’s voice for farmers and cooperatives, Copa-Cogeca.

The observatory is to ease Europe’s dairy industry into the post-quota era of 2015 by providing supply and demand analysis, informing producers, processors and retailers to make decisions.
Speaking at the launch, Copa-Cogeca Chairman of milk working party Mansel Raymond said data must be up-to-date and forward looking to allow decisions on future trends.
A single web interface of copious raw data for milk sector stakeholders will provide production costs, markets perspectives and world dairy prices.
