Major Obstacle Removed From Wisconsin Dairy Plans
US – Plans for a new Wisconsin dairy farm development took a major step forward on Thursday with the resolution of challenges over two high capacity wells.

Milk Source dairy first requested well permits for its proposed Richfield dairy site in 2011 in rural Adams County, meaning a three year dispute over improving the site has ended.
After listening to scientific testimony on the impact of the well, Judge Jeffery Bolt ruled that Milk Source plans should be allowed to move forward.
Complications over water quality and permits were also resolved, with the Wisconsin Dairy Business Association stating that farms have been provided much needed certainty.
Association policy director Laurie Fischer said: "The focus on groundwater in this case was really just a proxy fight for activists trying to stop the growth of dairy farming in Wisconsin."
He added: "Wisconsin needs Richfield Dairy and other new farms like it if we want our state to continue to be America's Dairyland.”
