Zoning and movement controls are in place in Ngamiland to contain the outbreak which led to 44 cases in cattle communally grazing.

The last round of vaccination delivered over 28,000 doses, on top of over 15,000 given earlier this month.

The World Organisation for Animal Health has reported that the disease has remained within the zone of the initial outbreak.

Epidemiological investigations are ongoing. No further cases have been recorded.

Wet weather earlier in the year disrupted routine vaccinations in the affected area.
