Midwest Cheese Shipments Finally Enter Mexico

US – Over one million dollars of Cheese shipments have passed into Mexico from a Midwest grocer after expert border crossing guidance was provided by the USDA.

An Illinois-based grocery manufacturing and processing business contacted the USDA over problems with Mexican border guidelines and documentation last month.

Eleven of 12 shipments successfully passed into Neuvo Laredo, Tamaulipas, valued at $1.4 million after assistance from the Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) - Monterrey branch.
