The EMB said dairy oversupply had not only caused prices in Europe to collapse, but were also causing struggles for African dairy producers, as they are unable to compete with cheap dairy imports from Europe.

The farmers will jointly visit dairies and farms in Burkino Faso, visit ministries and take part in a workshop to discuss fair solutions for both Africa and Europe.

The EMB said a previous visit of Burkino Faso dairy farmers to Europe in 2014 demonstrated how much the two parties could learn from each other, and how they should continue to work together in future.
