Hosting the event, Pickstock Telford managing director, Greg Pickstock, said that these types of events are a great way to showcase solutions that can improve on-farm efficiency and sustainability.

“At a time when farmers are being encouraged to reduce their carbon footprint while still producing a quality product that meets increasing consumer demands, the more resources that are available to help the industry achieve this the better.”

The on-farm demonstration day saw Rea Valley Tractors showcase their latest Kuhn feeder wagons and straw choppers. Alongside this, they also demonstrated their tier 5 emissions compliant JCB telehandlers and John Deere tractors, with a static display of Joskin and Bailey trailers highlighting the on-farm benefits of these types of machinery to the 150 livestock farmers that attended.

“We’ve seen the benefit of this type of machinery at Brongain Farm in helping to maximise feed efficiency and uptime on daily routine.”

Greg explains that the event has been a great success. “The collaboration of two local businesses has allowed farmers to see what solutions are available to them to support everyday tasks.

“We want to continue to hold these events at Brongain Farm to share new ideas and solutions with the rest of the industry to help drive innovation and reduce carbon emissions across farming enterprises.”
