Are you a latte lover or a fromage fanatic? Wondering how your favourite food and drinks can become more sustainable? We have the perfect project for you – and it includes a survey we need your help for.

Meet BETTED, the European Heat Pump Association’s new EU project. Funded under the LIFE Clean Energy Transition sub-programme, it aims to boost the uptake of industrial heat pumps in the dairy sector.

BETTED will do this by supporting a culture of energy efficiency and sustainability among EU milk producers through capacity building and knowledge sharing. Specifically, it will:

1. Establish a dedicated community to support energy culture transformation in businesses and organisations

2. Develop easy-to-use tools to engage companies across the value chain

3. Provide actionable policy and regulatory recommendations to accelerate the energy transition.

As part of BETTED, we are looking for insights from companies across the dairy sector that have successfully integrated heat pumps or are evaluating their use.

We invite you to share your experience to help us assess the impact of heat pump integration on environmental sustainability and economic viability within the dairy industry. Have your say!

BETTED stands for ‘Boosting the Energy Transition of the Dairy Value Chain’. Projects partners include EHPA, the University of Brescia, the Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy (EECP), Escan, the International Institute of Refrigeration, the Spanish Food and Drink Federation, Federalimentare Servizi srl, the Chamber of Commerce of Korinthia, Riga’s Technical University and the Fraunhofer Institute.
