With rising energy and feed costs putting increasing pressure on producers, dairy farmers are looking for sustainable ways to increase the productivity of their herds.
We at the European Board of Bovine Experts (EBBE) aim to debate the best ways of driving up productivity, fostering animal health and managing margins at our bi-annual meetings.
EBBE consists of veterinary, nutrition and animal management experts from across the EU and our aim is toissue guidelines and recommendations regarding the challenges in modern dairy farming.
The main topic - besides animal health and welfare - is to maintain productivity through optimised management and nutritional practices. The guidelines and recommendations are based on current scientific knowledge and will be updated on a regular basis.
