Lithuania Cattle Exports Report

LITHUANIA - Lithuania’s Agricultural Information and Rural Business Centre reports that Lithuania exported 119,908 head of livestock in 2006, an increase of 36.3 per cent as compared with the previous year, according to the LETA news agency.

Most exports last year were delivered to Spain and the Netherlands, with the lowest exports to Denmark and Sweden.

Compared with 2005, Lithuanian livestock exports to Poland increased by 51 per cent to 7,385 head, but exports to Latvia fell by 76 per cent to only 737 head.
