A high level of exhibitor participation from Germany and abroad is already assured at the world's top event for animal husbandry professionals, EuroTier 2010, to be held in Hanover from 16 to 19 November 2010. DLG reports that exceptionally high stand booking levels have been registered already, nine months before the start of the exhibition.

EuroTier Project Manager, Dr Karl Schlösser stated that at present everything indicated that all the world's leading providers of installations and equipment for modern animal husbandry would once again be presenting innovative solutions and comprehensive information on innovations and trends at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover. With registrations received from over 1,100 companies including 150 first-time exhibitors, EuroTier already impressively underscores its outstanding significance in Europe as the platform for modern animal husbandry. This year the DLG is once again expecting some 1,700 companies from all over the globe. In 2008, more than 130,000 expert visitors came to EuroTier to gather information, including 22,000 international visitors from outside Germany.

EuroTier 2010 offers a comprehensive overview of new developments in dairy, beef and pork production, as well as in the aquaculture sector. Dr Schlösser went on to say how encouraging it was that the range of equipment and installations available for cattle farming would be more extensive than ever before at EuroTier 2010.

He said: "The sector will be represented in full."

Cattle breeders will also be represented strongly. According to the current status of stand bookings, all major national and international cattle breeding organisations will be presenting daughter animals at the TopTierTreff (presentation of top cattle). The traditionally very high level of interest in the pig sector is additionally encouraging.

Dr Schlösser added: "Here too we expect a complete exhibition programme."

By comparison with the years before, stand bookings to date also display growth in the feed, animal health and veterinary medicine areas, as well as in other fields of farm inputs. In agreement with the international poultry industry the next World Poultry Show at EuroTier will only be held in 2012, so that Dr Schlösser reckons with a relatively modest level of exhibitor participation specifically for the poultry sector. At this year's EuroTier, poultry farmers will find interesting information above all in the cross-species areas of feeding, animal health and bioenergy.

bpt Congress to be held parallel with EuroTier again

Following the successful premiere in 2008, the German Association of Veterinary Practitioners (bpt) will once again be holding its annual congress and associated veterinary medicine exhibition at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover on dates set to overlap with EuroTier in 2010. An International Animal Health Event, organised jointly by the DLG and bpt, will once more serve veterinarians from all over the world as a meeting place and contact forum, but also as a link between EuroTier and the bpt Congress.

'BioEnergy Decentral' encounters great interest

Lively interest on the part of exhibitors has also been noted for the BioEnergy Decentral exhibition being held parallel with EuroTier. This new exhibition caters to the growing interest of agriculture in this novel business segment and will present the full range of technological developments in the field of renewable energies. Priority areas focus above all on biogas with slurry and energy plants, as well as wood, energy grain and liquid biofuels. Some 300 exhibitors from these areas have already secured their stands.

Aquaculture now an established constituent part of EuroTier

At EuroTier 2010, aquaculture will once again be the focus of interest for many expert visitors from home and abroad. Leading technology and outfitting companies as well as many other providers and institutions in the areas of aquaculture, mariculture, inland fishing and environmental engineering will be represented in Hanover.

Future forum for all aspects of professional animal husbandry

EuroTier is the most important future forum for all aspects of professional animal husbandry. Traditionally, this is where technology trends are displayed and all major questions concerning modern animal husbandry and animal breeding are addressed. Together with partners from industry, academia, consultancy, federations and organisations, DLG will be presenting a comprehensive expert technical programme once again this year to supplement the offerings of the exhibitors.

This includes international conferences and events, as well as forum sessions on current trends and key developments in the industry geared specifically to the individual animal species.
