Warm, Dry South Expected for April, June
AUSTRALIA - Most of southern Australia has a greater than 60 per cent chance of exceeding the median maximum temperature between April and June, while the already dry south-east South Australia and western Victorian regions look set to receive below average rainfall, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

In contrast, much of eastern Australia, particularly southern Queensland and northern New South Wales, is expected to continue in a cool, wet pattern. In these regions, the chance of exceeding the median rainfall is over 60 per cent, with some areas up to 80 per cent, while the chance of exceeding the median maximum temperature is less than 40 per cent.
Western Australia is forecast to be warmer than usual over this period, especially across the south-west, with a greater than 60 per cent (in some places over 80 per cent) chance of exceeding the mean median temperature. The rainfall outlook is neutral for this region, with a 50 per cent chance of exceeding the median rainfall for April to June.
