Producers noted that these public goods, that promote the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA), are guaranteed to help develop livestock in the country.

This in turn contributes around 250 billion pesos to the national economy, which represents 45 per cent of the domestic agricultural production. Producers also recognised the importance of the National Individual Cattle Identification System (SINIIGA) for animal health, as this system controls and traceability and mobilisation of animals.
