Minister Meets Dairy Representatives
ITALY - The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Mario Catania, held a meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry to discuss issues and opportunities for the dairy sector.

Assembled at the meeting were representatives from the Italian Farmers Confederation, the Confederation of Agricultural Producers, the National Confederation of Farmers and the Italian General Confederation of Agriculture.
The groups met t o discuss issues in farming and particularly the market tensions between producer and processor in Italy and worldwide. Also covered were recent regulations affecting dairying with article 62 of the 'Milk Package' being examined.
