A joint public and private funding scheme has already pledged 1.5 million pesos to improve 38.6 kilometres of rural road in the region.

Dairy Cooperative de Tamberos Pascanas, a major stakeholder in the region, has been involved in the spending and planning consultation.

Work will take place around the towns of Ucacha and Pascanas, where the local government has agreed to oversee progress.

Based in the centre of the country, Cordoba is a considerable dairy producing province, producing 130,000 litres of milk daily.
