A Ministry of Agriculture funded project entitled More Livestock has been launched by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA).

Over a ten year period, the scheme will expand the Brazilian cattle industry through genetics, market expansion, embracing technology and food safety standards.

The plan will be broken into More Milk and More Meat under the auspices of a steering and executive committee to structure funding.

The executive committee is to have strong links with governmental bodies relating to beef and dairy.
