New Dairy Leader Calls For More Market Stability
SPAIN – Industry leaders are using the appointment of a new President to flesh out plans for a more stable dairy market.

Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (ASAJA) dairy chairperson Ramon Artime has opened his tenure as Interprofessional Dairy Association President (INLAC) by calling on a speedy implementation of the milk package.
INLAC intends to establish market agreements for farmers producing sheep, goat and cow milk that are more stable, reflecting industry efforts to restructure markets.
To an audience of all key dairy organisations, Mr Artime said: “The future must see Interprofessional focus on keeping the sector informed properly by maintaining and updating benchmarks prices for milk cattle, sheep and goats.
“Furthermore, we must be conducting applied research projects that contribute to optimizing the production and processing of milk."
