Poultry, Cattle and Sheep Can End Bangladesh Hunger
BANGLADESH – Investing in livestock agriculture can meet Bangladesh’s growing food demands and stop poverty, a conference heard on Saturday.Economic profits can be increased through animal husbandry which can then improve socioeconomic conditions gradually, Gaibandha farmers were told.
Farming cattle, sheep, goats, ducks, pigeons and chickens can play a “vital role”. Speakers also stressed the importance of building skills so communities could adapt their holdings to livestock agriculture.
Speaking at the conference, district livestock officer, Abul Kashem, promoted the use of facilities, including vaccines.
