Ecuador Granted Foot and Mouth Disease Free Status
ECUADOR – The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has reclassified mainland Ecuador as FMD free "with vaccination" and "without vaccination" for the Galapagos islands.

The announcement, made at OIE headquarters in Paris last week, comes 44 months without any disease outbreaks.
The formal process included a presentation of “Health conditions of Ecuador” certificates in recognition of government steps to maintain 100 per cent vaccination cover.
