The activists took out a rally from Mini Vidhana Soudha to Azad Circle. Addressing the protesters, Rajya Raitha Sangha district president Udde Gowda said that the district is reeling under drought for the last five years.

“The farmers are in distress. The residents are getting one barrel of water a week. The district administration should find a permanent solution to the water woes. Coffee and pepper are drying away without water,” he said.
