Lely Unveils Groundbreaking Innovations in Dairy Farming: Zeta, Juno Max and Sand Flush Accessory for Discovery Collector Manure Robot
New products provide additional solutions for monitoring, feeding and manure handlingLely is proud to announce three revolutionary product advancements setting new standards in dairy farming with the introduction of the Lely Zeta AI-driven monitoring system, the Juno Max autonomous feed pusher and Discovery Collector C2 including a new Sand Flush option within Lely’s manure portfolio. These innovations showcase Lely’s commitment to enhancing key farmer impact points including animal welfare, improved environment, farmer prosperity, buy-in from consumers and producing sustainable and nutritious dairy products.
Zeta: Revolutionizing Barn Monitoring with AI
Lely’s Zeta barn monitoring concept is a new era of dairy farming with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart algorithms. The Zeta system, composed of cameras, LED lighting and minicomputers, provides comprehensive barn monitoring by tracking cows and mobile robots, their behaviors and in-barn events. With 24/7 camera vision and dynamic lighting, including a ‘full moon’ mode for nighttime operation, Zeta delivers accurate data on cow health, heat detection and calving processes. The AI Barn Monitor component will alert farmers to heat signs and monitor barn operations, while the AI Calving Monitor offers real-time alerts during calving. Zeta is poised to transform dairy farming with its data-driven insights and future-proof functionalities.
Juno Max: The Next Generation of Autonomous Feed Pushers
Lely introduces the Juno Max, an advanced autonomous feed pusher designed for large-scale farms. This innovative machine stands out with its free navigation system and obstacle detection capabilities, enabling efficient feed pushing across a multitude of barn types, sizes and feeding alleys. The Juno Max operates on uneven surfaces and slopes up to 20%, driven by its three large-powered wheels. Equipped with a lidar laser scanner, stereo-camera and virtual farm map, it autonomously plans optimal routes while detecting obstacles. With a digital management system and app for real-time control, farmers can easily monitor and adjust the robot’s performance including 24/7 remote support. Juno Max represents a significant leap forward in feed management, contributing to better animal health and reduced labor demands.
Collector C2 and Sand Flush Option: Enhancing Manure Management for Sand Bedded Barns
Lely proudly introduces the Lely Discovery Collector C2, featuring advanced technology, wireless charging, and a long-life 24-volt battery. This next-generation manure robot efficiently cleans barns up to14 hours daily, depending on the barn layout. In addition to Collector C2, Lely introduces a Sand Flush option which is an enhancement to Lely’s Discovery Collector manure portfolio. With sand bedding being commonly used worldwide, this addition marks a significant milestone for Lely’s manure management solutions, catering to nearly all flooring and bedding types used in dairy operations. The Sand Flush uses water from the Discovery Collector’s buffer tank to effectively rinse sand from the manure tank, preventing sand accumulation and ensuring optimal robot performance.
Available for both Discovery Collector C1 and C2 models, this option provides farmers with greater flexibility in choosing a robotic cleaning solution tailored to their barn’s specific needs.
These innovations underscore Lely’s commitment to advancing dairy farming through automation, data-driven solutions, and enhanced animal welfare. The Collector C2 with Sand Flush option, Juno Max, and Zeta will be available through Lely Centers worldwide with further details on availability and features to be announced soon.
